Job description

Overview:

Our State Government Practice Group’s (SGPG’s) Finance and Administration (F&A) Practice is seeking an experienced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation project manager to lead the technical workstream for our current project with the State of Nevada. This will involve working within the Project Management Office (PMO) for their ERP system implementation project (to implement the CGI Advantage 4 system).

You should have experience managing technical teams and efforts to implement large-scale ERP solutions. The candidate filling this position must be located in or willing to relocate to (or within daily commuting distance of) Carson City, Nevada and is expected to work on-site at the client location 100% of the time. For the right candidate, traveling to Carson City, Nevada 50% of the time may be acceptable—however, being within commuting distance of) Carson City, Nevada is highly preferred.

You will apply your knowledge and experience to support our state government client in implementing its chosen ERP system through helping to support and direct the technical workstream team comprised of state agency staff members. This will require providing advice and guidance to our state government client, working in collaboration with the ERP system integrator (SI) vendor (CGI). You will bring a mix of expert-level project management capabilities, technical capabilities, exceptional organizational and self-management qualities, strong leadership and teamwork capabilities, and effective written and verbal communication skills.

General travel expectation (after this project concludes): Approximately 50% travel to client sites is anticipated to support future engagements/projects.

You Will:

As an ERP System Implementation Project Manager for the IT workstream, you will:

  • Serve as project manager for the technical workstream lead.
  • Provide technical advisory services for design and implementation of the ERP system.
  • Facilitate technical project meetings.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the State of Nevada.
  • Working in collaboration with BerryDunn, State, and CGI resources.
  • Develop technical project deliverables.
  • Communicate technical workstream status to our client, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • including the facilitation of client meetings.

As an SGPG team member, you will:

  • In partnership with our internal team, respond to state government opportunities related to ERP systems.
  • Develop appropriate relationships with ERP system SIs and solution providers in the state government market.
  • Collaborate with other firm practice groups and practices that can bring ERP system knowledge.
  • Participate in marketing and business development activities, including writing blog posts and leading and participating in prospective client business development meetings.
You Have:
  • Five or more years’ experience managing technical teams to implement large-scale ERP systems.
  • Current PMI/Scrum/Agile or related certifications (preferred).
  • Knowledge of various SDLC methodologies and related processes/artifacts.
  • Experience using Jira.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and logical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to use problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills to identify project risks/issues and develop/communicate recommendations to address them in a constructive manner.
  • Ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with diverse teams.
  • Ability to draft client-facing reports/communications in a professional/constructive manner.
Compensation Details:

The base salary range targeted for this role is $110,000–$145,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
