About the Role

The Staff Security Engineer will hold a pivotal role in providing technical leadership within our security engineering teams. This position focuses on the creation and implementation of detective and mitigating controls. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of various security domains and will leverage this expertise to mentor junior engineers and drive secure organizational practices.

You will be responsible for
  • Offer technical leadership and direction in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced security architectures tailored to organizational needs.
  • Spearhead the creation and deployment of proactive detective and mitigating controls, ensuring they address potential security threats effectively.
  • Serve as a key mentor to junior engineers, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to foster their growth in the field of security engineering.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate state-of-the-art security technologies and practices into all phases of product development and operations.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures; recommend improvements as necessary.
  • Monitor emerging security threats and trends, advising on strategic security improvements and innovations to maintain a strong security posture.
  • Help in incident response activities, collaborating with relevant teams to address security breaches or vulnerabilities promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to information security and data protection.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation to support security practices, control implementations, and incident response procedures.
  • Advocate for and drive initiatives that promote a security-first mindset throughout the organization.

 

We are looking for a person who has: 
  • Technical Leadership in Security Engineering: Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams within security engineering, showing strong leadership abilities in guiding and mentoring teams.
  • Security Architecture and Solutions for Endpoints and Servers: Proven experience in designing and implementing security architectures and solutions specifically aimed at servers and endpoints. This includes playing a pivotal role in defining these solutions and architectures.
  • Knowledge of ZTNA, XDR, and Cloud Infrastructure: In-depth understanding and practical experience with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), and cloud infrastructure concepts, demonstrated through related project involvement.
  • Data Protection Solutions Experience: Hands-on experience in projects related to Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and the protection of sensitive data, with a solid grasp of these concepts.
  • Advanced English Proficiency: Strong command of English, with the ability to communicate effectively in an international setting.
