Your Role

We're looking for a Sr. Quality Assurance Manager to support our squads who are working on products for our North American sports market. You’ll lead Engineers across several Agile squads as they deliver key products like Instat, Volleymetrics and Hudl Sportscode, which are used by elite basketball, ice hockey and American football teams.

This role will focus on:

Improving quality. You’ll work to measurably improve quality and our ability to deliver quality at speed. You’ll empower teams to take on challenges and make their own decisions, constantly researching best practices in use elsewhere and striving to use what you learn to improve quality and velocity.
Coaching. You'll use your technical and quality understanding to guide others on the team to level up their skills. As the go-to person for product quality, you’ll influence and challenge teams to incorporate quality best practices in everything they do.

For this role, we're currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our office in London, but with our flexible work policy, there aren't any current requirements for the number of days you come to the office.

Must-Haves

A focus on quality. You understand quality in the big picture and strive to use what you know to improve quality and velocity.
Technical know-how. You have in-depth experience with testing desktop and web applications, and deep knowledge of automation and its industry-recognised principles. You've implemented the test pyramid and have experience in working with Developers and QA to shift testing left.
Experience leading others. You have a track record of mentoring, connecting with, and improving those around you.
A customer focus. You think critically about the user experience and ensure our testing approach adapts to their workflows.

Nice-to-Haves

Working with a global team. Our product team is currently spread across the U.S. and Europe, and remote collaboration skills will be part of the job.
A working knowledge of U.S. sports. A general understanding of sports like basketball and American football would be a plus.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is displayed below, and may be eligible for bonuses which are offered at Hudl's sole discretion. Where a candidate is placed within this base salary range is determined by experience, skills, education and training required for the job as well as our internal pay equity. Discretionary bonuses, if awarded, may include annual targets based on company performance and a long-term incentive award.

Base Salary Range

£72,750—£121,250 GBP
