About the role (your why)  

The Senior Communications Manager role is pivotal in driving Datacom’s Group organisational change initiatives. By collaborating closely with the change strategy team, this role ensures that changes are effectively communicated to both employees and stakeholders. It involves developing and implementing strategic communication plans that promote clarity, transparency, and engagement throughout the transformation process. This role is essential for maintaining a steady flow of impactful communications that support the organisation’s ongoing transformation. 

Key responsibilities:  

  • Demonstrating strong leadership and interpersonal skills to support the communications discipline across the Datacom Group. 
  • Working closely with executives and teams to deliver consistent and engaging communications through appropriate channels. 
  • Creating compelling and engaging content, including success stories, emails, newsletters, presentations, videos, and other materials, to communicate changes, milestones, and progress updates.  
  • Continuously monitoring the effectiveness of communication efforts and gathering feedback from stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.   
  • Broadening the awareness of the communications programmes and priorities; and increasing the visibility of its programmes across key stakeholder audiences. 

What you’ll bring:   

  • Experience in a senior communications position, with a strong background in transformation communications. 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing communications campaigns using a variety of channels, working both proactively and reactively.  
  • Familiarity with digital technology, and software used for editing, including MS Office and other application. 
  • Creative thinking with high level attention to detail with the ability to assess and improve communication effectiveness. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders across various levels.
