MEDIA MONITORING and REAL-TIME INSIGHTS SPECIALIST
Join our high-impact digital media team as a Media Monitoring & Real-Time Insights Specialist, where you’ll leverage cutting-edge tools to track industry trends, monitor breaking news, and provide actionable insights that empower our clients to stay ahead.
Candidates MUST RESIDE in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida or Texas.
Important Work Availability: Due to the nature of social media taking place 24/7, this position has non-traditional work hours. TruePoint uses an alternative work schedule (AWS) instead of a fixed work schedule (e.g., 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week). Your schedule will include a mix of daytime, nights, weekends and holidays. For this role, you must be able to work weekday mornings 5:30 am-7:30 am (CT), weekday evenings, and weekend afternoons from 11:00am-1:00 pm (CT).
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactive Media Monitoring: Utilize platforms like Cision, Critical Mention, and NewsWhip to track and analyze media channels, staying attuned to industry trends and client-relevant conversations.
- Real-Time Updates: Identify and alert clients to breaking news, emerging issues, and critical conversations, providing timely, strategic recommendations.
- Insightful Reporting: Deliver comprehensive executive reports for senior leadership, including summaries of key stories, industry trends, and potential reputational risks or opportunities.
- Sentiment Analysis: Assess tone, sentiment, and engagement around brand-related stories, providing insights on impact and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborative Support: Partner with internal account teams to ensure insights align with client objectives and contribute to agency initiatives as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
- Expertise in media monitoring tools and a passion for staying informed about the latest trends.
- Strong analytical and communication skills to distill complex information into clear, impactful reports.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate issues and provide strategic recommendations in real time.
- Flexibility to manage ad-hoc requests and deliver timely updates on high-priority matters.
Qualifications:
- 4 to 6 years of experience in media monitoring, social listening, or PR is highly preferred. Strong preference will be given to candidates with agency experience.
- Command expertise and experience in media monitoring and social listening tools, such as CISION, Critical Mention, NewsWhip and Sprinklr.
- Possess an analytical mindset and the ability to interpret data and trends to provide actionable insights.
- Be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrate a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering time-sensitive alerts and reports. React promptly to emerging news stories and issues.
- Showcase a high proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Exemplify an ability to think outside the box and take the initiative upon themselves to solve problems as they arise.
