Technical Sales Specialist - Pharma & Food Sector

Location: UK – Remote – 50% UK travel

About the role:

We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to join our Pharma & Food sector team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers. You’ll use your expertise to provide consultative, solution-based sales, helping our customers achieve their goals with Malvern Panalytical’s industry-leading technology.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Achieving sales targets and maximizing financial performance in your territory

  • Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships

  • Identifying new business opportunities and driving them through the sales pipeline

  • Engaging with customers to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions

  • Collaborating with our Field Applications Team to deliver product demonstrations

  • Attending conferences, exhibitions, and industry events to represent Malvern Panalytical

  • Providing accurate sales forecasts and maintaining CRM records

  • Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and acting as a trusted advisor

About you:

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within the Pharmaceutical or Food industries

  • Background in selling CAPEX analytical equipment is a plus

  • Experience managing distributors or dealers is beneficial

  • Strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills

  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)

  • Understanding of the academic and industrial market landscape

  • Ability to navigate finance and legal discussions with customers

  • Full UK driving license & ability to travel up to 50% of the time
