About the role
The Growth and Engagement Director will report to our Chief Growth Officer and lead new member engagement and conversion. In this role, you will partner with Brand Marketing to refine our value proposition, positioning, segmentation, and messaging and with the Payer and Provider Partnership teams to develop strategies that drive top-of-the-funnel growth. You will also collaborate closely with the Product, Design, Engineering, Data, and Operations teams to optimize new member conversion. Leveraging deep user research, you will craft a holistic engagement strategy to effectively reach and convert key member audience segments. Additionally, you will work with the Data team to establish the right processes to analyze performance, refine initiatives, and provide regular progress updates toward growth targets. In this role, you will have the opportunity to present and collaborate with our Executive Leadership Team to further the impact of your work.

 

Core Areas of Responsibility

Value Proposition & Positioning

    • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Clinical to develop member onboarding experiences that convey the benefits of Two Chairs’ services.
    • Identify key aspects of our value proposition that resonate with different member personas, using insights to craft tailored positioning and engagement strategies.

User Research

    • Collaborate with Product and Design to further our understanding of prospective or existing therapy and psychiatry members.
    • Use internal and external user insights to develop detailed member personas that reflect the motivations, behaviors, and decision-making factors influencing behavioral health service choices.
    • Analyze and iterate on the member journey, identifying opportunities to enhance messaging and the overall member experience.

Outreach & Lifecycle MarketingCollaborate with Product and Engineering to design and oversee CRM capabilities, enabling ongoing engagement with current and prospective members. Develop, test, and iterate on persona-specific campaigns leveraging email, SMS, and other engagement tools to connect meaningfully with a diverse audience.

    • Design automated email and SMS campaigns that engage and retain members at key points in their lifecycle.

Conversion Rate Optimization

    • Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to develop and execute a capability roadmap combining feature development and marketing initiatives that help drive member conversion. 
    • Translate insights from data into actions that enhance our client journey and drive short and long-term conversion improvements across the funnel. 

Analytics & Forecasting

    • Partner with the Data team to develop forecasting and monitoring tools that track progress against growth targets.
    • Leverage insights to optimize campaign performance and report key trends to stakeholders.
    • Lead monthly and quarterly reporting, highlighting key trends, inflection points, and recommendations.

Impact and Success Indicators

  • Develop and execute a member engagement strategy aligned with our growth and conversion goals.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to refine member onboarding and lifecycle marketing initiatives.
  • Establish performance tracking systems and identify immediate opportunities for improvement in engagement and conversion.

  • Drive significant improvements in member conversion rates through tailored outreach campaigns and optimized processes.
  • Launch segment-specific engagement strategies across geographies and channels, showcasing measurable impact on member engagement and retention.
  • Partner on the development of a comprehensive capabilities roadmap, positioning Two Chairs for scalable growth.
  • Played a meaningful role in hitting and exceeding our company member growth targets.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven growth and engagement expertise: You have a track record of success in driving growth and engagement strategies within high-growth organizations, with a preference for experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Consumer-centered focus: You are passionate about understanding consumer behavior and delivering high-quality, member-centered experiences that drive action.
  • Analytical and strategic insight: You excel at leveraging customer insights and analytics to develop data-driven strategies and translate findings into actionable results.
  • CRM and lifecycle marketing proficiency: You bring hands-on experience with CRM systems and lifecycle marketing tools to enhance engagement and retention.
  • Collaborative leadership: You thrive in cross-functional settings, building strong partnerships across diverse teams to align on goals and drive impactful results.
  • Creative and agile problem-solving skills: You bring a creative mindset and excel at adapting strategies in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bay Area Location (Preferred): Proximity to Two Chairs’ office to enable close collaboration with key partners.
  • Healthcare system knowledge (preferred): You possess a deep understanding of the US healthcare system and payer engagement practices, enabling you to navigate its complexities effectively.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this full-time, exempt role is $176,000 - $238,000. The final offer is dependent on the qualifications and experience of the candidate hired. New hires can reasonably expect an offer between  $176,000 and $207,000.
