Business Architecture is a sub-discipline within the Enterprise Architecture profession that is focused on analysing and architecting concerns of what a business does, how it does it, how it is organized, and how it realizes value. In practice, these concerns are illustrated with views (e.g., business capabilities model, value-stream maps, business-application matrices, etc.) which are designed to emphasize specific information for different stakeholders.

The purpose of this role is to architect WPP’s with a focus on Collaboration Technology, Identity Technology, Active Directory, Application and Database Identity, Cloud Identity.

Importance of Role:
WPP IT is undergoing a significant transformation to modernise its ways of working, implement modern business applications, shift to cloud and micro-service-based architectures, drive automation, digitise colleague and client experiences and deliver insight from WPP’s petabytes of data. By establishing a world-class business architecture capability that addresses WPP’s various business domain and archetype needs, we expect this role to help accelerate our transformation.

The role will report to the Head of Enterprise Business & Application Architecture.
Key Role Interactions:
The role will interact with the following stakeholder(s) and stakeholder groups:
- WPP Business Leaders & Management
- Tech Ops Technology Leaders & Staff
- WPP IT Strategy & Architecture (S&A) Department
What you'll be doing:
- Define relevant standard business architecture templates (e.g., methods, models, blueprints, etc.)
- Collaborate with senior business leaders to determine Tech Ops business capabilities
- Collaborate with senior leaders to determine relevant Tech Ops application needs
- Architect & maintain enterprise Tech Ops business capability models (BCMs) & roadmaps
- Architect & maintain enterprise Tech Ops application architecture models and roadmaps
- Manage Tech Ops architecture compliance of new projects based on WPP standards
- Monitor, evaluate and communicate Tech Ops business trends
- Monitor, evaluate and communicate Tech Ops application trends
- Advise and support Tech Ops platforms, products & projects across the relevant lifecycle stage (e.g., Plan, Analyse, Design, Build, Test, Evolve)
Key 2022 Goals:
- Establish trusted business advisory relationships with WPP Tech Ops stakeholders
- Document Business Capability Models, Process Maps & Roadmaps for the Tech Ops technology Domains
- Align Business Capabilities with relevant Application, Data, Technology and Security Architectures
- Discover and maintain data related to the Tech Ops technology asset portfolio (e.g., applications, data, security & infrastructure)
- Define the future state Tech Ops technology asset portfolio (e.g., applications, data, security & infrastructure)
What you'll need:
- Extensive experience with Enterprise Architecture (e.g., TOGAF®) and/or credentials
- Extensive experience with Collaboration and Identity Tool
- Extensive experience of Active Directory, OKTA, LDAP services
- Extensive experience of Database and Application Middleware
- Extensive experience in Service Management Capability Modeling & Road-mapping
- Extensive experience in Business Process Modeling & Value Stream Analysis
- Extensive experience in Business Requirements gathering
- Extensive workflow/business process design experience in Tech Ops businesses
- Extensive experience of enabling technologies like AI, Machine Learning
- Working knowledge of modern application platforms and support Infra or Hosting solutions
- Understanding of modern technologies (e.g., Cloud Computing, Identity Asset Management, etc.)
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal & stakeholder management skills
- Exceptional remote working collaboration skills using the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Superb negotiation skills
- Strong oral, presentation, and written communication skills
