We are looking for a full-time Training Coordinator to join our NYAP Education and Professional Development Team!
Position is fully remote
Compensation- $65,000-$70,000/yr. based on degree and experience
Position Summary
This position works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children, youth and families served. This position is responsible for the development of the organization’s training materials to ensure that the organization’s employees are provided with the necessary training and development in alignment with trauma competent practices.

Responsibilities
- Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s mission, values, and philosophies.
- Develops and maintains an assessment system for training needs for all employees; driving timely completion of mandatory trainings to maintain accreditation and contractual requirements and risk management purposes.
- Develops and implements trauma competent, evidence informed training curriculum specific to the needs of employees, ensuring they are equipped to meet the needs of persons served across programs, organization wide.
- Responsible for the knowledge of evidence-based models and curricula, specialized assessment, and treatment, and maintains current working knowledge of the evolution of best practice trends in the industry, working to drive innovation in the organization.
- Collaborates and follows roll out plans to ensure that employees have been provided with the necessary training and skill development to meet the ever-changing needs of children and youth referred to the organization via the use of implementation science with the consideration of internalization processes and learning styles.
- Utilizes course creation tools and available technology to develop and maintain engaging training content housed within the organization’s LMS.
- Assist NYAP states in the execution and implementation of custom training plan, linking to training sources and materials according to best practice and contractual obligations
- Directly train and support NYAP employees’ organization wide with program and/or model replication
- Conduct reporting, data collection and review for effective research analysis, contributing to the internal evaluation process.
- Ensuring timely and quality customer service and education related support for NYAP employees’ organization wide directly or via Education Mailbox.
- Uphold documentation processes in compliance with mental health and social work boards for CEU providership, application and renewal, for all participating states in accordance with board guidelines
- Maintains all the necessary documentation required by the National Youth Advocate Program, Inc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution. Master's degree preferred.
- Current clinical licensure strongly preferred.
- Three years of formal training experience demonstrating understanding of effective internalization and learning styles.
- Skilled in public speaking; demonstrating experience in experiential teaching methods.
- Willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours.
- Certified to teach trauma based and other specialty modality approaches adopted by the organization preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to coach others, transferring knowledge and information in easily understandable terms.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheet, project management, electronic health record (EHR) system, LMS/eLearning systems. Proficiency with other database software programs is an asset.
- Proficient use of Zoom or Teams for virtual presentation with comfort using interactive features for optimal engagement.
- Proficient with efficient data collection and tracking processes.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, istock, or other design assets for enhancing training presentation preferred.
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers.
