Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join the legal department at CareDx. The Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting the company’s contracting processes, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and assisting in the efficient management of legal and contractual matters. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and contribute to the success improving transplant patient outcomes.  

Essential Duties 

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, ensuring provisions align with company goals and mitigate risks. Deliver actionable recommendations to senior attorneys for effective decision-making.
  • Develop and refine contract boilerplates to meet diverse portfolio and account needs, enhancing efficiency and consistency across the organization.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as contract volume, turnaround times, and compliance rates. Present insights and recommendations to leadership to streamline processes and improve outcomes.
  • Manage internal approvals, signature authorities, and adherence to company guidelines, ensuring contracts align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Finance, to address contracting guidelines, financial controls, and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Monitor contract timelines, proactively communicate deadlines, and assist business owners in navigating workflows within the contract management system to drive timely execution.
  • Foster continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Healthcare Management, or a related field. Paralegal or contract management certification is a strong plus.
  • Proven Experience: At least 3 years of experience in contract drafting, review, negotiation, or administration, with a preference for exposure to the diagnostics, life sciences, or healthcare industries.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), DocuSign, PDF tools, Contract Management Systems, and CRM/SaaS platforms.
