About the role
Are you self-motivated and passionate about creating new technology solutions? As an important part of our US CTO organization, you’ll help drive and execute the product vision behind Boldyn Networks’ Neutral Host solution offering(s). If you have a strong understanding of 4G and 5G network architectures including being able to create, drive and manage solution validation by IOT and/or field-testing efforts, then this is your ideal role. You will be responsible for helping create new solutions for Boldyn’s customers and helping manage the solution roadmap, assimilating roadmaps from key suppliers, overseeing the development process, maintaining timelines, and interfacing with sales and marketing teams to ensure the product’s success in the market. As an important contributor within the US Technology Office team, you will work collaboratively with a team of world-class experts that design, develop, and integrate software and systems to facilitate the delivery of our Neutral Host Network in medium to high complexity indoor and outdoor environments.
What you’ll be doing
- Responsible for seamless Fronthaul and Midhaul network integration with ORAN and/or non ORAN radios.
- Develop test plans in coordination with customer(s) and engineering team(s) for solution validation and commercial deployment. Ensure that the deployment meets and exceeds the established standards, successful validating the functionality and performance of the deployed solution.
- Develop reference architectures and design standards to address specific verticals in support of Boldyn’s business models.
- Lead and execute E2E testing, analysis and complete solution validation with MOCN Gateway Solutions in Boldyn’s labs, including but not limited to, defining, executing, troubleshooting IOT test cases
- Assist with the configurations and deployment of wireless testbed systems such as 4G LTE and 5G Integrated (O)RAN, systems in collaboration with team members and supporting partners in Boldyn’s lab, and in supporting partner labs.
- Drive, support and project manage third party engineers, contractors, and 3rd party lab testing efforts.
- Drive OEMs to achieve interoperability, and support field validation and commercial deployment for neutral host networks.
- Develop process, testing methodologies, deployment standards for network deployment for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Build, implement, validate and ultimately be responsible for design automation, KPI reporting and dashboards, acceptance testing, and regulatory compliance.
- Deliver CBRS MOCN gateway solution and obtain MNO approvals required for commercial deployment.
What you’ll bring
- At least 7 years of applicable experience, 4 years of experience directly supporting major US mobile operators.
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other related engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of DAS and RAN OEM indoor and outdoor products.
- Knowledge of ORAN architecture and exposure to the ORAN vendor ecosystem
- Knowledge of Qualcomm tools like QXDM, QCAT, QPST, Snapper.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Strong operator relationships and/or knowledge of operator lab testing processes
- Knowledge of Multi Operator solutions including but not limited to NH DAS, MORAN, MOCN
- Additional knowledge and understanding of 3GPP Specifications for RRC layers, NAS Timers, etc. required
- Knowledge of programming SIMs, traffic flow tools (iPerf, FTP, etc.), test logging applications, singal/vector analyzers, protocol analyzer (e.g. Wireshark), UE emulators
- Working knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Perl, etc.
- Working knowledge of 3GPP LTE and 3GPP 5G-NR SA architectures, and data collection tools like Keysight Nemo, Actix, Windcatcher, or XCAP/XCAL, etc. required
- Prior experience working at a wireless carrier or mobile UE equipment vendor a plus (Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Qualcomm, Samsung, Google, Apple, etc.).
- Experience with lab planning, management, and testing including creating and implementing E2E test cases.
- Strong experience in a dynamic project management role with a proven track record overseeing all elements of IOT and/or field validation.
- Experience with data pipelines and data analytics – a plus
- A strong communicator with exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills.
