Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: This position will provide technical support for the development of processes, procedures and workflows inside the Aras Innovator product lifecycle management (PLM) environment, as well as provide operational and troubleshooting support, business requirements gathering, and end user guidance primarily for the company’s engineering and manufacturing teams but also for cross-functional business groups using the PLM system. The PLM platform interfaces with the company’s Siemens NX CAD tools, as well as future ERP system.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide subject matter expertise to the Aras team in the development PLM enterprise software capabilities. This may include database/system monitoring and resolution of system performance issues.
  2. Lead conversations with key business stakeholders and perform development of complex Aras programming to meet business requirements.
  3. Develop business use cases and software requirements for improvements to our product lifecycle management system.
  4. Act as subject matter expert in multiple NuScale processes and systems, enabling complex data gathering, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
  5. May serve as a subject matter expert to other departments, including offsite audits as required to support PLM or other Aras activities.
  6. Provide independent code review and mentoring to junior programmers.
  7. Assist resolution of user problems when required and escalates to vendor support as necessary.
  8. Guide/assist in the development of software documentation and procedures.
  9. Assist Aras support staff in daily performance of their activities
  10. Performs other duties as assigned by IT management.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:

  • Education/Certification: A minimum of a B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or engineering from a four-year accredited college or university is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of full-time, relevant working experience leading, defining, planning, and implementing software projects is required, with at least 8 of those years working on PLM systems and workflows.  Must have experience with developing complex applications on the Aras platform.  Additional required skills include:
    • Excellent HTML, C#, XML, T-SQL skills.
    • Extensive experience working in collaborative Agile development teams using revision control.
    • Good communication, computer, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong technical writing and organization skills and ability to work on complex projects with multiple work phases.
  • Preferred skills and experience include:
    • Experience with XPLM CAD interface software and Siemens NX CAD tools
    • Experience in nuclear power or other highly regulated industry
    • Understanding of engineering concepts and terminology
    • Understanding of quality assurance regulations for nuclear power
  • Industry Requirements:  Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Pay and Benefits: 

The target pay range for this position is $124,531 - $150,138 annually.  The full pay range is $111,531 - $174,446.
