The Role:
We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced compliance professional to join our Compliance team. This individual will report to our Compliance Manager, Insurance Products and will assist in the administration of Beam's Insurance Compliance Management Program. This includes assisting with product line expansion, state expansion, policy form and plan document drafting, adhering to state, federal, and internal compliance requirements, identification and resolution of compliance gaps, policy, procedure, and process development and implementation.
Joining Beam Benefits Means:Working in a complex and dynamic business, simultaneously serving customers across employee benefits insurance product lines and growth and service channelsCollaborating with a diversely skilled team to continuously improveBeing empowered as an owner and expertBeing motivated by improving how people access employee benefitsWhat You Will Do:Process Third-Party Administrator, Insurance Producer, Network, and Corporate applications, registrations, licenses, and renewals consistent with approved standards and practices accurately and in a timely mannerReview, analyze, and interpret licensing laws and regulationsAdvise and educate on the licensing requirements and registration process, furnish materials, and submit forms and fees to state departments of insurance and/or other regulatory agenciesWork cross-functionally both internally and with insurance carrier partners on the development and implementation of new product lines and state expansionReview, analyze, interpret, and prepare current and new insurance policy forms and plan documents for fulfillmentCommunicate regulatory and contractual requirements to internal clientsRespond to ad-hoc insurance product compliance requests from various internal and external partnersCollaborate cross-functionally with various business teams including sales, support, service, business development, product, and engineering to promote insurance product complianceReview, analyze, and interpret product and form requirements and variabilityOther duties as assignedWhat Skills Will Help You Be Successful Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experienceAt least 1-2 years of license filing and regulatory reporting experienceAt least 1-2 years of insurance compliance related experienceExperience with the review and interpretation of insurance policy forms and plan documentsGeneral knowledge of insurance contract fulfillment and insurance policy structureDemonstrated ability to meet company and department timelinesDemonstrated strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe AcrobatPassionate about compliance and product growthWillingness to learn and ability to take guidance for continuous growthDetail oriented with a focus on efficiency and accuracyDemonstrated ability to work independently, self-starter and highly motivatedStrong oral and written communication skills for contact with internal and external stakeholdersOrganizational and project management experience.The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors.
