Job Summary
The main responsibility of an Allbridge Application Developer is to design and code functional programs and applications. You will work as part of a team and individually with little supervision. A great Application Developer has excellent knowledge of at least one programming language. They must be familiar with a variety of operating systems and platforms. The ideal candidate will also have an analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail. The goal is to write “clean” and flawless code to produce fully functional software applications according to requirements. In addition, an ability to be flexible and document your work is required. This role reports to the VP, Software Development.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Understand client and company requirements and how they translate in application features
- Collaborate with a team of Application Development experts to set specifications for new applications
- Design creative prototypes according to specifications
- Write high quality code to program complete features within deadlines
- Perform unit and integration testing before launch
- Conduct functional and non-functional testing
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Evaluate existing features to reprogram, update and add new features
- Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code
- Consistently integrate Allbridge’s core values into their everyday habits by treating all customers, internal and external, professionally, honestly and respectfully
- Accept ownership and accountability of position responsibilities and strives to deliver results for customers that establish high standards, credibility and quality performance
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, or Computer Science or closely related field; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of prior software development experience, in particular large scale application development specifically in Javascript, Vue or Inertia a plus.
- Be willing to proactively take ownership of challenges
- Be able to work alone but also enjoy working collaboratively and building close relationships with colleagues and key internal stakeholders
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proven experience as an application developer
- Experience in designing and building applications
- In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools
- A team player with excellent communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
- Great attention to detail and time-management skills
