Intern – Software Developer/Tester – Mississauga, CAN – Summer 2025
Are you interested in an Internship opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) degree to participate in 3-4 month paid intern opportunities at our site in Mississauga, CAN. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.
Your role:
- You will contribute to improve the quality of our software and services by performing manual and automated tests as well as validating the defined User Acceptance Criteria
- You will help test our audio/video/chat application on Android, iOS, WebApp, and Windows desktop platforms, as well as embedded clients for medical systems.
- You will work in a team of software testers and actively interact with the software development scrum teams using SAFe Agile as working framework.
- You will be 100% home based working remotely with your colleagues, mostly located in Montreal, QC Canada. No travel is necessary for this position.
You're the right fit if:
- If you are Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Testing or a related
- You’ve acquired 1+ years of experience in co-ops or internships, preferred
- Your skills include a basic level of Software development, ability to write automation tests, ability to run manual tests, ability to read and understand user acceptance criteria documents.
- Bilingual French and English skills, both written and verbal, are an asset. French is promoted internally, but English is essential for our global business. The candidate may report to a manager outside Quebec and/or interact with colleagues and partners in other provinces and countries. English is needed for communication, training, and support nationally and globally. Philips offers French and English language training, aiming for fluency in both.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
This is a home-based role.

Philips Transparency Details
The hourly pay range for this position is $24.00 to $30.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
