Paid Time Off
AMSURG offers paid time off, 9 observed holidays, and paid family leave. You accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) each pay period and depending on your position and can earn a minimum of 20 days and up to 25 days per calendar year.
Summary
The IT Business Partner is responsible for building and strengthening strategic relationships within the clinical service lines and corporate functions of AMSURG. The key focus is to foster IT enabled business growth and operational efficiency. As a primary IT point of contact for the service lines/corporate functions, this role requires leadership communication, strategic consultation, facilitating solution design/alternatives, strong relationship management, and overall collaboration of the service delivery from IT to the service line/corporate functions. This role will work closely with various departments within IT to ensure the capabilities, standards, and processes of these teams are being fully utilized and leveraged. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and a passion for technology, combined with business acumen to understand and translate business requirements into technological solutions.
Work Schedule
The IT Business Partner may work a remote-centric hybrid or a fully remote schedule that will include an expectation of up to 10% travel. If in the Nashville area, an onsite presence of 1-2 days per week is preferred. A remote solution would be considered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between IT and center leadership and operations, understanding and translating business needs into IT requirements.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with operations leaders, center administrators, and the IT leadership team to enhance collaboration and communication.
- Promote a culture of partnership, service excellence, and continuous improvement. Be accountable to the service lines for IT service delivery and project outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of a multi-year technology roadmap for our centers to underpin business strategies.
- Understand the clinical software, workflows, and patient experience of our surgery centers to help center leadership determine how to improve efficiency and quality with technology.
- Act as the escalation point for service line leadership regarding IT issues, managing urgency and impact effectively across relevant IT teams to ensure timely resolutions. Accountable to ensure appropriate level of service management occurs and remediation of the underlying issue that caused the escalation.
- Lead IT Business reviews with service line leadership to communicate operational performance and strategic IT priorities.
- Assess and address change management needs to facilitate effective adoption of IT solutions, ensuring a seamless change process and that value is realized post-implementation.

- Demonstrated extensive technical awareness coupled with strong analysis and business process design skills.
- Someone that is a strategic, process oriented, end-to-end thinker that can assist the service lines in matching their business requirements with appropriate technology solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills to navigate challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Requires effective and consistent communication with stakeholders and cross-functional relationship management skills.
- Ability to work effectively across diverse teams and functions to drive results.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing business needs and priorities.
- Experience using or applying metrics to measure performance against projects to ensure high quality delivery.
- Experience assessing change management needs to enable effective solution adoption and value realization.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college/university in related field, or equivalent extensive, specialized experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a dedicated Information Technology Management environment or 3+ years of direct account management or sales experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
