About the role:
As a Software Engineer you could work with bleeding edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical specifications, interacting with engineering groups and training clients on applications.

FIS Retirement as a Service™ is the modern, modular retirement plan outsourcing choice to help you boost efficiency and accelerate growth.

What you will be doing:

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance software.
• Interact with product managers, users, and Business Analysts to define requirements and modifications.

• Lead design and architecture of software systems, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and efficient.

• Provide estimates for development work, and participating in planning exercises.

• Provide technical guidance and leadership - helping to solve complex problems and making critical decisions.

• Work closely with other teams, such as product management, QA, and operations, to ensure software meets requirements and is of high quality.

• Mentor team members.


What you will need:
• 5+ years experience creating software with Java, Spring, and AWS.
• Proficiency in AWS Core Services: Deep knowledge of services including EC2, ECS, Fargate, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.

• A high-level of problem solving, technical, and learning initiative with strong troubleshooting skills.

• CI/CD: Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools.

• Containerization: Experience with Docker for container orchestration.

• Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines.

  • Knowledge of financial industry practices, regulations, and operations.
  • A bachelor’s in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or equivalent experience.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Ability to pivot as an analyst.
  • AWS Glue experience.
  • Exposure to mainframe system development.
  • Retirement industry experience.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $105,070.00 - $176,520.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
