We are on an exciting growth journey and we’re searching for a visionary Director of Data & Integrations to lead and grow our data-driven future.
In this role, you will lead a team of 7+ talented analysts, engineers, and data scientists, helping them reach new heights. This diverse role encompasses two key focus areas:
- Data-Driven Business Insights and Analytics
Develop and optimise data systems and processes to deliver actionable insights that drive performance, efficiency, and strategic planning.
- Customer-Facing Data Solutions
Innovate and deliver data products that enhance customer experiences, provide actionable insights, and align with Time Doctor’s product strategy.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you will:
Deliver the Product and Technical Roadmap for Data
- Deliver SaaS product reporting, Business intelligence and Customer reporting solutions on time and to budget
- Establish and prioritise key initiatives to improve data architecture and analytics capabilities.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects in line with business objectives, including measurable outcomes such as improved data quality, faster query performance, and enhanced customer insights.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimisation of data pipelines, integrations, and reporting tools.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure for all data-related services.
Lead a High-Performing Team
- Recruit, mentor, and manage data engineering, data analysis and data science professionals.
- Foster collaboration and high performance through direct and matrix leadership models to deliver results across technical and business domains.
Optimise Data Modeling and Accessibility
- Implement best practices for data architecture to ensure it meets the evolving needs of internal departments and external customers.
- Deliver data solutions that enable Sales, Marketing, Finance to achieve key business objectives and support business growth
Develop Actionable Insights and Data Science Solutions
- Lead initiatives to enhance analytics and data science capabilities, driving innovation in predictive modeling, machine learning, and customer insights.
- Roll out product data driven features to improve product differentiation and customer experience.
Build a Bespoke Enterprise Reporting Function
- Lead the development of tailored reporting solutions to meet the needs of enterprise-level clients.
- Ensure reporting aligns with enterprise expectations for accuracy, timeliness, and customisation.
Measurable Business Impact Through Data
- Define and track KPIs for the Data function, such as:
- Reduction in time-to-insight for internal teams
- Efficiency metrics of the data delivery function using DORA metrics or similar
- Improvement is data quality and understanding via Business Intelligence function
- Product reporting capability delivered per year
- Improvement in customer satisfaction with reporting and analytics capabilities.
Collaborate to Drive Business Outcomes
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to align data initiatives with broader business goals.
- Ensure data-driven decision-making increases efficiency and revenue impact across departments.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, computer science, data science, or statistics—or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience managing a data and/or integrations team of 10+ members in a SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of integration platforms and their role in enabling fast, efficient partnerships with multiple commercial partners.
- Hands-on experience with data governance in a scaling SaaS company.
- Proven ability to hire, lead, and inspire Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineers, scaling teams effectively.
- Solid understanding of architectural data concepts, including API design, data pipelines, relational/NoSQL databases, REST, and ETL processes.
