Job description

Want to join the world's No. 2 in wines & spirits and work among convivial teams? Pernod Ricard is looking for a Social Sustainability Intern for 6 months from July to December 2025. You will be based at the Island, our office in central Paris (Saint Lazare Train Station, Paris 8).

As a Social Sustainability & Human Rights Intern, your role will be to assist the Social Sustainability & Human Rights Manager and subject matter experts in developing and advancing strategies that improve the lives of workers and affected communities in our value chain. You will contribute to the Valuing People" Pillar of our roadmap by engaging in competitive monitoring, benchmarking and cross-functional strategic projects to move our human rights strategy forward.

Your key mission?

Mission 1: Human rights competitive monitoring  

  • Monitor and track human rights trends and best practices including peer commitments; official reports, the legal & regulatory and policy environment; and NGO and activist activity.  

  • Participate in conferences and webinars and elaborate notes to share with relevant internal stakeholders 

  • Topics: community livelihoods, engagement & development, grievance mechanisms, decent working conditions and living wages & income  

 

Mission 2: Social Sustainability integration  

  • Contribute to the development of the "Valuing People" pillar, focusing on workers and affected communities in line with: EU CS3D (Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive), CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Directive), Devoir de Vigilance, and the UNGPs (United Nations Guiding Principles). 

  • Provide support on events, workshops, communication, trainings and other materials. 
     

Mission 3 Social and human rights reporting, ratings and benchmarks  

  • Contribute to reporting for the “Social sustainability” and “vigilance plan” sections of our Universal Registration Document 

  • Assist in responses to ESG ratings and rankings (CHRB, WBA, Equileap, Ecovadis etc.) and review performances to inform opportunities for improvement.

  • You are a student in a relevant field of study in Human Rights, Law & Business Ethics, Social Sciences, Sociology, Public Policy or International Relations

  • You have previous experience in human rights or social sustainability within an international organization or NGO

  • You have good knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and Word

  • You are passionate about human rights and social sustainability

  • You are rigorous, collaborative, adaptable and have the ability to prioritize concurrent projects with the big picture

  • You speak English and French fluently, Spanish is a plus
