We’re looking for a Senior Editor to join our team of content publication professionals. If you’re a top-notch editor ready to bring cutting-edge energy science publications to new levels of clarity, organization, and polish—we want to talk to you! And we’d be over the moon if you were familiar with HTML editing, search engine optimization, and the utility industry.

E Source provides predictive data science, research and advisory, and solution services to help utilities make decisions that benefit their customers, their bottom line, and our planet.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and edit reports, white papers, blog posts, and other deliverables on topics ranging from utility customer experience to energy equity to customer energy solutions like demand-side management and distributed energy resources.
• Work with researchers and staff writers to create content that is jargon-free, readable, and accessible to the target audience.
• Coach new writers and researchers on best practices for using plain language, understanding style, and organizing information.
• Create website-ready publication layouts to maximize content uptake, and then monitor the metrics of your content to see the impact you’ve made.

What will make you a good fit:

• Experience editing publications. Experience editing in the sciences, energy science, or HTML editing a plus.
• Familiarity with one or more industry-standard style guides. Experience using custom, in-house style manuals a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with Agile development teams and Jira is a plus.
• Experience with Drupal is a plus.

Benefits

The budgeted salary for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 USD + annual bonus up to 5%. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

This role will be remote with up to 20% of travel required.
