Description

Founded in 2007, Initiate Government Solutions (IGS) a Woman Owned Small Business, specializes in healthcare information solutions with an emphasis on technology spectrum. IGS partners with government and commercial clients to tackle the most challenging healthcare information technology issues including large scale implementations, business informatics, analytics, and electronic health record support.


IGS is currently pipelining for a MS Dynamics 365 Developer to support our work with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).


Assignment of Work and Travel:

This is a remote access assignment. Candidate will work remotely daily and will remotely access VA systems and therein use approved VA provided communications systems. Travel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite client meetings as requested.


Description:

The candidate will provide development services using Microsoft’s Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to accomplish the tasks and associated deliverables required. This software will be used to support/develop CRM applications across the VA enterprise.


Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):

  • Provide project management services, software development, application integration, enterprise service development and enhancement, and operation and maintenance support services for CRM project
  • Participate in requirements analysis
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
  • Write clean, scalable code using MS Dynamics CRM (Dynamics 365) and .NET programming languages
  • Test and deploy applications and systems
  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code
  • Improve existing software
  • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support
  • Develop Scheduling mechanisms and workflows in Dynamics 365
  • Create applications from scratch, configure existing systems and provide user support
  • Write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects
  • Analyzes customer needs and develop overall concept and design objectives
  • Create software in a variety of programming and for a variety of IT software applications
  • Work with internal teams to design, develop and maintain software
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a business or technical discipline
  • 3+ years, or 5 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
  • Experience creating entities, reports in Dynamics 365
  • Has expertise in Dynamics plug-in development using C#.NET
  • Worked as Dynamics 365 integration developer interacting with external systems through APIs
  • Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Has high standards, results oriented, and a commitment to delivering high quality software on time

Preferred Qualifications and Core Competencies:

  • Active VA Public Trust
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior, successful experience working in a remote environment

Compensation: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
