Purpose:   

As our Director of Sales Finance, you'll take charge of all financial aspects related to our sales function, serving as a key partner to the Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams. Your expertise will help provide the financial insights and analysis needed to drive revenue growth and profitability across the organization. 

In this role, you'll lead critical processes like sales forecasting, budgeting, and unit-level pricing strategies, ensuring everything aligns with our company objectives and financial goals. You'll play a key role in evaluating sales performance, spotting trends and opportunities, and providing actionable recommendations to optimize operations and improve margins. 

This position is perfect for someone with a strong mix of financial expertise, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate across teams to support effective decision-making, financial planning, and resource allocation. 

Location: This position will work onsite out of our home office in Sandy Springs, GA, with work from home flexibility on Fridays.   

 
What that looks like day to day:  

• Oversee the development of accurate sales forecasts and budgets, aligning them with business goals and financial targets
• Provide in-depth financial analysis of sales performance, identifying key trends, variances, and actionable insights for senior leadership
• Design and administer sales incentive and compensation plans to drive performance, analyzing effectiveness and recommending adjustments
• Collaborate on pricing strategies to optimize profitability, conducting margin analysis to identify areas for improvement
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to enhance sales effectiveness and meet targets
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment of financial goals, strategies, and resources
• Oversee revenue forecasting and margin management, working with cross-functional teams to optimize product, channel, and customer profitability
• Build financial models and conduct scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of sales strategies, pricing decisions, and market opportunities
• Oversee and control sales-related expenses, ensuring budgets are adhered to and cost-efficiency is maintained
• Mentor and develop a high-performing sales finance team, providing guidance on financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement

Experience Requirements:  

• At least 7-10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on sales finance, revenue forecasting, and financial analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or advanced finance certification (CFA, CPA, etc.) preferred
• Proven experience leading and mentoring teams, with a track record of developing high-performing finance professionals
• Strong background in sales forecasting, pricing strategy, and profitability analysis, with the ability to drive strategic financial decisions
• Experience designing and managing sales incentive programs, as well as building and analyzing financial models for sales-related initiatives
• Strong knowledge of sales management systems, ERP software, and data analytics tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel, Power BI) for financial reporting and forecasting

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and senior leadership to align financial goals and strategies
• Expertise in analyzing sales performance data, preparing executive-level reports, and providing actionable insights to improve sales outcomes
• In-depth knowledge of revenue forecasting, margin management, and financial controls, with a focus on optimizing profitability across products and channels
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically, assess risks, and drive improvements in financial performance
