We are looking for a skilled L1 Backup Engineer with expertise in NetBackup and Veeam to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing reliable backup and recovery solutions to ensure the protection and availability of critical business data.

Backup Solution Design and Implementation:

• Manage and maintain backup and recovery solutions using NetBackup and Veeam.
  
• Oversee backup and recovery processes using Datto systems, Azure backups, and AvePoint 365 backups.
  

Monitoring and Maintenance:

• Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful backup and recovery operations.
  
• Assist with regular system upgrades, patches, and maintenance to optimize backup performance.
  

Documentation:

• Maintain detailed documentation of backup and recovery processes, configurations, and procedures.
  
• Create and update operational manuals for IT staff.
  

Training and Support:

• Provide training to IT staff on backup best practices and procedures.
  
• Offer troubleshooting support to end-users and IT teams.
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Backup Engineer, with a focus on Datto and Veeam.
  
• Familiarity with NetBackup systems is a plus.
  
• Knowledge of Azure backups and AvePoint 365 backups preferred, but not required.
  
• Strong understanding of backup and recovery principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  
• Experience with Windows Server operating systems and basic knowledge of Linux operating systems is ideal.
  
• Familiarity with storage technologies and systems.
  
• Experience with archiving systems, such as Enterprise Vault, is a plus.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Veritas Certified Specialist, Veeam Certified Engineer) are a plus.
