LOCATION:  Remote - Maryland or Virginia 
THE OPPORTUNITY
Within Aeroflow, the Lactation and Perinatal Education Provider Group is comprised of five teams and over 50 providers.
  • Our department cares for patients through appointments and classes.
  • Our patients are pregnant mothers who plan to breastfeed and postpartum mothers who are breastfeeding. 
  • Providing education and care through a virtual platform increases rates of breastfeeding and improves parent satisfaction in their experience.
  • Joining our department allows you to play a role in preparing the next generation of parents in how to gently respond to and care for their babies.
  • This is a work from home position, and you must be in your home state while working at all times.
 
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Be Patient-Focused
    • Coordinating and tracking administrative functions of the class including Zoom and technical management and other assigned tasks while participating in classes clinically during co-teacher discussions.
    • Acts as lead, breakout or assistant teacher for classes as needed.
    • Supporting Aeroflow patients during one-on-one appointments when needed. 
    • Chart visits and maintain accurate records according to payor requirements, per guidelines provided by Aeroflow.
    • Support and advocate for the normal physiologic functions involved in the maternal-infant process.
    • Provide patients evidence-based clinical information following the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine Protocols.
  • Participate and Collaborate
    • Attend administrative and clinical meetings, some which may fall outside of the hours of your shift.
    • Assist with writing clinical documentation, creating social media projects, leading a team workshop, or representing the company in outside interviews and speaker panels.
    • Other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.
  • Maintain Licenses and Certifications
    • Enhance personal professional development by participating in assigned clinical courses, workshops and exams and keeping apprised of current clinical literature. 
    • Keeping your provider databases and continuing education up-to-date.
  • HIPAA and Compliance
    • Follow the company handbook and department manual policies.
    • Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
    • Individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
    • Compliance which is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance.
SKILLS FOR SUCCESS
Prior Experience: 2+ years of clinical experience in private practice or clinic; employment history illustrating stability, reliability, and strong work ethic. 
Communication: Proactively seek clarification in order to accurately and efficiently complete tasks and offer valuable insights while collaborating with positivity and enthusiasm; presentation skills including public speaking while advancing a slideshow online.
Time Management: Proven ability to assess circumstances, problem solve, pivot activities as needed, and work both independently and in a team environment.
Writing and Editing Skills: Proficiency to write, update, and edit written information with consistent formatting and meticulous attention to detail while avoiding redundancy of information; 50 WPM typing speed.
Organizational Skills: Adeptness at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks effectively in a face-paced environment.
Interpersonal Skills: Work effectively with other company employees and managers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Clinical Documentation
    • Must have a lactation IBCLC certification.
    • Must have a state RN multistate license.
    • Must have or be willing to obtain an NPI with the primary taxonomy as an RN lactation consultant (163WL0100X). 
    • Must have or be willing to obtain CPR certification.
    • Must be willing to obtain licensure in all states requested by Aeroflow; Aeroflow will assist financially and administratively with obtaining any new licenses and credentials. 
  • Approved Work Environment:
    • Must have strong internet speed for remote work - minimum 30 mbps upload speed for a wired connection or 45 mbps for a wireless connection.
    • Must have a private, professional work environment with a door that closes that is available for use during work hours and is approved by management two weeks before patient-facing encounters.
    • Must be able to work during all work hours in your home state (not another state or country).
  • Expertise:
    • Stellar written and verbal communication.
    • Google Suite, Microsoft Office and Zoom proficiency.
POSITION TYPE  
Full-time: 
40 hours/week - shift schedule to be determined upon hire
  • You must be able to work the same shift(s) on the same day(s) and time(s) each week ongoing. This job has a set schedule that cannot be changed.
COMPENSATION:  $43/hr
  • (4) 10-hour shifts or (5) 8-hour shifts
Preferred schedule includes some evening and weekend hours.
