As a PowerBI Developer at LI, you will start the day with a stand up where you will communicate current priorities.
Then it’s on with the enhancement of existing Power BI reports that have been deployed and are in use as part of the livestock services, the creation of new Power BI reports to enhance the livestock services and the provision of ad hoc reports to support internal business needs.
To support that work, you will liaise with stakeholders to understand stakeholder reporting requirements, ensuring those requirements are implemented from both a functional and non-functional (i.e. performance) perspective.
You will work using DevOps to maintain relevant Epics, Themes, Features, User Stories and Tasks.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with Stakeholders to understand and manage stakeholder reporting requirements.
- Working with Data Engineers to ensure data is modelled to support reporting requirements.
- Ensuring personal data is managed in a secure and compliant manner
- Developing, deploying and managing Power BI i.e. model, report, gateways, pipelines, etc.
- Troubleshooting and optimising the Power Bi infrastructure.
- Ensuring PBI reports are user friendly, intuitive and designed for audience consumption.
- Managing and providing user training and supporting collateral designed for audience consumption.
- Keeping up to date with industry trends and best practice and apply to LI, where applicable.
- Being proactive in managing data and managing stakeholders.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Expertise in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation.
- In-depth understanding of data modelling and data visualisation concepts.
- Robust SQL skills to support data manipulation and extraction and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) skills for creating calculations.
- Proficiency in using Power Platform (power apps, power automate, etc).
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and concepts.
- Brilliant attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently when needed, and as a part of a team.
- Willingness to adapt and show flexibility to changing business requirements.
- A solid understanding of AI and M and, ADF (Azure Data Factory).
- Knowledge of ALM Toolkit, Tabular Editor and DAX Studio.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps to define tasks and workloads.
- Familiarity with Python, R, M and Javascript.
- Familiarity with Dynamics365 and ServiceNow.
Qualifications
You will hold a Bachelors Degree in computer science, data analytics, or relevant fields.
