Summary/Objective
The Contracts Attorney is responsible for effective and efficient support of general corporate transactional legal needs for the company and effective management of business contracts.
Essential Functions
- Drafts and reviews proposed contracts using company’s standard contract templates, including but not limited to Nondisclosure Agreements, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work
- Reviews proposed contracts on clients’ templates
- Interprets and negotiates contract terms
- Assists with Contract Administration and Management functions including the Contract Management System for request and approval of contracts
- Provides sound legal advice to the company in the review, drafting, modification and negotiation of general contracts and compliance as needed
- Liaises with internal departments to ensure effective communication and action to mitigate and manage risk
- Creates reports and correspondence and effectively presents information to stakeholders
- Works with Corporate Counsel and management to facilitate various projects
- Performs such other activities as Corporate Counsel or management may direct

Requirements/Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Admission and current good standing to the Oklahoma State Bar
- 3+ years of general corporate and commercial transaction experience with a law firm or in-house legal department
- Experience utilizing a contract management system and/or in a contracts management position is preferred
- Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Attentive to detail and accuracy, reliable, responsive and stress tolerant
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical information to audiences at all levels
- Excellent judgment and decision-making concerning legal, financial, and ethical implications of business
- Proactive, work well independently
- Strong organizational, reporting, analysis, and process improvement skills
- Demonstrated ethical conduct
- Proficient with MS Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and other applications necessary for analyzing data to support decision making, with special emphasis on using spreadsheets and/or data analysis tools
Work Environment/Physical Demands

While performing these duties, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; lift up to 20 pounds. This position routinely uses standard office equipment.
