Position Overview:
The Coding Specialist will support the medical coding operations for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health facilities, clinics, and providers. This role will also be responsible for working closely with our global coding staff to ensure accurate and proficient performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and modifiers on patient charts.
- Audit coding for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health codes.
- Provide accurate answers to queries on coding.
- Proficiency across a wide range of specialties, including pathology, E/M, radiology, and medicine.
- Ensure compliance with medical coding guidelines and regulations, including reimbursement policies.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology necessary to correctly assign diagnoses and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr. RCM Manager.

Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma required.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience preferred.
- Behavioral health experience required.
