Job Description

As a Part-time Bookkeeper, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of multiple client accounts. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a variety of businesses, honing your skills in financial data management and reporting. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, generating critical financial reports, and ensuring the financial integrity of our clients’ accounts. Responsibilities
  • Process and input financial data from client bank statements into QuickBooks with meticulous attention to detail
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies
  • Generate comprehensive monthly profit and loss statements tailored to each client’s needs
  • Prepare detailed monthly trial balances, verifying that all accounts are properly balanced
  • Maintain highly organized and up-to-date financial records for a portfolio of 15-20 clients
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure consistent client satisfaction and reporting accuracy
  • Meet strict monthly deadlines for financial reporting and data entry
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth by upholding high standards of bookkeeping services and financial management
  • Adapt to varying client needs and industry-specific financial requirements
  • Stay informed about updates in accounting software and financial reporting standards
Requirements
  • Proven proficiency in QuickBooks, with the ability to navigate and utilize its features effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and financial calculations
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to consistently meet monthly deadlines
  • Outstanding organizational abilities, capable of efficiently managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining clear communication with the team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members and potentially with clients
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and potentially increase hours as the company grows
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data security protocols
