Job Description

We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our client’s expanding YouTube channel. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of transforming raw, daily fishing footage into captivating long-form videos and short-form content. You’ll have the opportunity to craft engaging narratives that keep viewers coming back for more, maintaining a chronological theme across multiple uploads. This position offers a unique blend of creativity and technical skill, allowing you to shape the visual storytelling of exciting outdoor adventures. Responsibilities
  • Edit and assemble daily raw footage into compelling YouTube videos and short-form content
  • Maintain a chronological theme across videos to enhance viewer engagement
  • Organize and manage video files efficiently, ensuring easy access and retrieval
  • Apply creative techniques to improve lighting, coloring, and overall video quality
  • Input and enhance sound to create a more immersive viewing experience
  • Follow outlines or scripts to create final cuts that align with the channel’s vision
  • Potentially engage with the audience by responding to comments using provided templates
  • Collaborate closely with the content creator to understand and execute their vision
  • Adapt editing style and techniques to evolving content strategies and audience preferences
Requirements
  • Proven experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills
  • Proficiency in professional video editing software
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize daily footage
  • Strong creative instincts and the ability to craft engaging narratives through video
  • Basic understanding of YouTube and other social media platforms
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the content creator
  • Passion for outdoor content, particularly fishing-related videos, is a plus
  • Ability to adapt to new editing techniques and stay current with industry trends
  • Reliable internet connection and appropriate hardware for remote work
