AML Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Regulatory and Audit Remediations: Manage regulatory relations and remediation functions, including resolutions.
• Reporting and Presentations: Create custom reports and presentations on regulatory matters, remediation status, and items for executive attention tailored to specific governance committees/forums.
• Communication: Exhibit exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Collaboration with Business Units: Work closely with business units to determine requirements, perform gap analysis on existing systems, and prioritize issues.
• Collaboration with Technology: Convey and interpret requirements, analyze and evaluate data needed to meet the requirements.
• Data Analysis: Demonstrate strong data analysis skills.
• Testing: Prepare test cases and test scripts for developed code and execute the test cases to document results.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Quickly gain a strong understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and guidance in the subject area, and stay updated with changes in a complex environment.
• Professional Services: Provide expertise and leadership to client projects and implementations.
• Client Engagement: Conduct client workshops, assessments, and strategic planning activities.
• Travel: Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.
• Client Relations: Handle communications and build relationships with clients and business users.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 7+ years as a Project Manager in the financial industry, specifically in AML at consulting firms, product vendors, or banks.
• SDLC Knowledge: Strong understanding of the SDLC process.
• Methodologies: Experienced in Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
• Testing Skills: Capable of writing test cases, scripts, and test plans.
• AML Concepts: Understanding of AML concepts in areas such as transaction monitoring.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in PL/SQL from a query perspective on large database platforms (e.g., MS-SQL, Oracle).
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Executive Communication: Confidence in communicating with and advising senior executives.
• Proactivity: Proactive and self-starting.
• Attention to Detail: Detail and quality-oriented.

Education:

• Degree: B.E. / B.Tech degree; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Certifications: ACAMS certification is a plus; PMP certification is a plus.
