We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Manager of Graphic Design to elevate our brand identity across all platforms, including brand, media, and sales enablement. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the visual language of APL Logistics, ensuring consistency and excellence in design while fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. This role supports all global brand and creative efforts for APL Logistics to deliver class-leading branding across the company’s digital, physical, and print assets, as well as setting direction and tone for global and regional campaigns, events and promotions, as well as supporting brand guidelines for APL Logistics’ facilities, uniforms, and other physical assets. Reporting to the VP of Global Marketing & Communications, the Manager of Graphic Design needs to have a strong strategic mindset, with the ability to develop and execute a design strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives of the company. A baseline knowledge of how finance, marketing, supply chain, sales, and other business functions can help a Manager of Design understand how design can impact other company objectives.
Responsibilities:
Industry knowledge:
• The Manager of Design will stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new design methods, to help ensure APL Logistics’ brand is well represented in a highly competitive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Strategy:
o Lead and inspire the brand team to deliver high-quality creative solutions.
o Develop and implement a comprehensive design strategy aligned with APL Logistics’ brand vision and business objectives.
• Creative Development:
o Oversee the design process from concept to execution for various projects, including digital assets, print materials, presentations, and branding initiatives.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling visuals that enhance our marketing efforts and customer engagement.
Brand Management:
o Ensure brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints, maintaining high standards for visual communication.
o Evolve the brand identity as necessary, staying ahead of industry trends and competitor positioning.
• Mentorship & Team Development:
o Mentor and coach brand team members, fostering their professional growth and encouraging innovative thinking.
o Conduct regular design reviews, providing constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
• Project Management:
o Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
o Establish design workflows and processes that enhance efficiency and collaboration.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
o Communicate design concepts and strategies effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
o Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to drive collaborative initiatives.
Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.
Compensation: $91,070 - $150,000/year.
