Job description

The Director of Sales Commercial Operations will play a prominent role in the development and execution of the Divisional Commercial sales strategy and will help to define our overall value proposition for our key business segments, including our Health System Partnerships, Value-based Care Organization alliances, and Large Physician Group collaborations.  The position will develop and execute on strategies and programs leveraging specialty medicine initiatives to maximize the value Labcorp provides to key customers and ensure client satisfaction across the end-to-end customer journey, as well as identify and develop innovative approaches to offer differentiated solutions.   The Director of Sales Commercial Operations will lead the development of data-centric approaches to improve operational efficiencies, enhance our value propositions, and broaden relationships with key influencers in the largest accounts in the Atlantic Division.  The position will assist in the development of comprehensive quarterly business reviews to provide growth and value strategies, insight into the competitive landscape, and expert analysis needed to drive overall results.

They will lead the division’s sales operations and analytics team, and will set the cadence for business planning, communication of overall business strategy, management and evaluation of key performance indicators, large deal analysis, and lead the coordination all sales trainings and meetings. This role will be highly visible and accountable to Divisional Senior Leadership.   

This is a remote role with the ideal candidate residing within the Atlantic division. The Atlantic Division spans from Maryland to Northern Georgia, and Eastern, Tennessee.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Leader of projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

  • Development of divisional commercial sales strategy, including numerous sales, managed care, and specialty medicine initiatives.

  • Define value proposition for key business segments and regular evaluation of commercial sales key performance indicators (KPI)

  • High level collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements to develop tools and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to drive growth and value-driven approaches.

  • Oversight of the creation of dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate data trends and insights to GMs and Sales and Specialty Medicine leadership.

  • Partner with Corporate marketing and business analysts to develop clear communications to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Participate in regional sales presentations and business reviews with our largest relationships.

  • Provide in-depth utilization management, financial data analysis, and market analysis to identify innovative approaches that are tailored to customer needs and align our capabilities.

  • Provide analysis to target gaps with key stakeholders to uncover underpenetrated areas with high returns.

  • Set cadence for regional sales meetings and annual kick-off meetings.

  • Direct management of a team of 3

  • Perform high level ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests as needed

Education/Qualifications:

  • BS degree in business management, finance, or science related field strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated history of delivering significant sales growth in larger organizations

  • Experience with Population Health/ Managed Care is a plus

  • Strong partnering and negotiating skills within cross-functional teams and C-Suite

  • Ability to integrate strategic skill sets with scientific-technical winning solutions

  • Strong change management skills to drive results in a matrix environment

  • Excellent verbal and written, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

  • Strong time management, planning abilities, and ability to deliver high levels of execution

  • Proficiency in professional communication with customers, employees, and market influencers at all levels

  • Self-directed and can value create

  • Fluency in spoken & written English

 

Experience:

  • 10+ years healthcare experience leading high performing sales strategies in highly matrixed organizations

  • 3+ sales management experience; sales operations leadership a plus

  • Strong analytical abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce.com and Microsoft products

Pay Range $115,000 - $160,000 annually plus bonus eligibility

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

LBP Eligible Positions: The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan.  Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
