About the Position:
The Core Banking Systems Administrator oversees the Core Banking and Digital Banking software systems for the Bank and acts as the primary expert and owner of these systems, responsible for managing parameters, configurations, and testing, implementing changes, handling support escalation, resolving problems, overseeing upgrades, and staying informed on industry trends. This position provides guidance to bank teams on using these systems, manages incidents, and completes risk assessments while identifying mitigation opportunities.
Additionally, the Core Banking Systems Administrator will collaborate with various departments including Central Operations, Payments Division, Risk Management, Branch Operations, Treasury Management, Loan Operations, Compliance, Product Management, Project Management, and Software Development. This collaboration focuses on offering thought leadership, deployment strategies, and project management related to the software platforms. This position also ensures reliable service and exceptional customer experience, assists in setting platform-related goals aligned with the Bank's objectives, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and systems best practices.
Essential Duties:
- Assists staff and vendors throughout the organization with Core and Digital software platform related initiatives, issues, inquiries, and support.
- Participates and/or leads various internal committees and project initiatives as assigned by senior management.
- Subject matter expertise in all aspects of bank transaction processing and digital banking environments including:
o Core Processing systems and processes including but not limited to:
o Deposit and Loan processing, statement rendering, item processing, product configuration, account analysis, fee configuration.
o Digital Banking systems and processes including but not limited to:
o Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Remote Deposit, Bill Pay, Positive Pay, ACH/Wire/P2P/A2A payment functions, Quicken/QuickBooks integration, etc.
o Risk Assessment and implementation of mitigating controls to manage operational risk of Core and Digital Banking Systems.
o Fraud Monitoring systems configuration and management within Core and Digital Banking systems.
- Implements, Management and Maintenance of Core, Digital banking systems and services. Ensure that staff and customers are provided with appropriate and timely information regarding systems updates, alerts, and maintenance.
- Assists in the development and implementation of new, and upgrades of current, Core and Digital Banking related products and services.
