The Role and What You’ll Do:

As the SVP of Business and Hospitality operations, you will be responsible for managing three key areas within FWC26 that drive how the business operates as well as how we operationalize our hospitality experience in each venue. The three areas that this role will focus on are enumerated in more detail below. This role will support operations for the whole of the programmatic delivery:

1)      Management of Program Assurance functions including i) Sustainability, ii) safety; iii) human/labor rights

·       This role will lead and guide our policies and procedures for the whole of the program related to essential assurance functions to ensure we meet local, state, federal and international requirements as well as FIFA guidelines and standards for these areas.

2)      Management of Key Business Operations Functions including i) IT and ii) Procurement

·       This role will ensure IT coordination both within the program for Corporate IT requirements and at venues as we operationalize for the games

·       This role will lead procurement process in coordination with the delivery experience team, finance and legal

3)      Management of Hospitality Delivery Operational Functions including i) Venue Operations Mgmt and ii) Workforce Operations. This includes

·       Leading coordination with each venue and driving planning, build out and operationalization of the experiences that have been defined by our hospitality Subject Matter Experts with in the Hospitality Delivery Experiences organization

·       Lead coordination with our workforce operations team to ensure each venue has defined procedures, training and staffing to deliver the FWC26 at each venue

 

 

You Have These

·       Extensive experience in event operations, sports project development, financial management of a large scale business in sports or a related field, with a proven track record of success.

·       MBA or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.

·       Minimum 20 years’ experience in business operations and financial management practices.

·       Experience in a senior management position, ability to lead and manage teams effectively.

·       Deep understanding of the premium hospitality business, including comprehensive knowledge of rights management practices, industry regulations, and market trends.

·       Strong financial management skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets, analyze financial data, and make strategic financial decisions.

·       Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining procurement, accounting and financial systems.

·       Demonstrated capacity to manage internal systems, including financial and technological systems required.

·       Deep understanding of event operational requirements and process to develop them

·       Knowledge of the best practices for project and program management including project scheduling, budgeting and applicable systems to support effective cost and schedule management.

·       In-depth knowledge of contract law and a track record of successful negotiation of complex procurements

·       Demonstrated teamwork, organizational, and communication skills are critical.

·       Timely, accurate, and honest communication with other Senior Management Team members is central to this position.

·       Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and strategies to various stakeholders.

·       A strategic mindset with the ability to contribute to the development and execution of organizational strategies.

·       Ability to work well in a busy, loosely structured environment and adapt to organizational changes while maintaining rigorous financial accountability and controls
