The Director of Market Research, Business Innovation and Growth leads strategic insights and data-driven decision-making across multiple revenue lines, including Learning & Development, Consulting Services, Knowledge Center, Community, Reviews, and the AI Mental Health Tech Summit within the Business Innovation and Growth (BIG) office. In this role, the Director of Market Research will play a critical part in shaping the future direction of our organization by providing actionable market insights, evaluating emerging trends, and guiding the development of services, products and programs to ensure sustainable growth. This role reports to the Chief Business Innovation and Growth Officer.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, economics or a related field, Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressively complex global experience in market research, business analysis, or a related role, with a strong focus on data-driven insights
- Proven track record of leading successful market research initiatives and driving revenue growth.
- Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, data analysis, and trend forecasting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in industries related to education, healthcare, digital health, or AI is a plus.
- International operations experience.
- Bilingual – Eng/Spanish, Eng/Portuguese, or Eng/French preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market research across key revenue lines to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive positioning.
- Leverage qualitative and quantitative methodologies to collect and analyze customer insights, market demand, and growth potential.
- Stay current on industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes that impact the business.
- Member/Customer & Market Insights:
- Gather and analyze member/customer feedback through surveys, focus groups, and interviews to inform product development, service offerings, and member/customer engagement strategies.
- Provide actionable insights into member/customer preferences, pain points, and behavior to enhance member/customer experience and program relevance.
- Strategic Support for Revenue Lines:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., product development, marketing, sales) to align research findings with business objectives and drive growth.
- Support the Learning & Development team by refining course offerings and identifying high-demand skills and competencies.
- Guide the Consulting Services division by identifying new client segments, service offerings, and market expansion opportunities.
- Assess and optimize the Support Center for Members by conducting needs assessments and analyzing service usage patterns.
- Analyze and evaluate engagement trends within the Online Community to enhance user experience and foster growth.
- Product & Service Evaluation:
- Support the Managing Director of APA Labs in the evaluation and review process for digital therapeutics, ensuring a data-driven approach to assess market relevance, product efficacy, and partnership opportunities.
- Develop and refine methodologies for product assessments and ensure reviews are aligned with industry best practices.
- AI Mental Health Tech Summit:
- Conduct research to identify trends and topics within AI and mental health technology to shape the agenda for the summit.
- Work closely with event organizers to develop content, identify speakers, and target key attendees.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that provide stakeholders with real-time insights on market performance, customer engagement, and growth opportunities.
- Track and evaluate KPIs for all revenue lines, offering recommendations to enhance performance and profitability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, product, and business development teams to align research with organizational goals and strategies.
- Communicate findings and insights through presentations, reports, and data visualizations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
