Job description

Working Environment: Hybrid, Remote

The PMO team is responsible for centralized project and program management of major initiatives and promoting best practices across FactSet’s Technology division. We are looking to add a program manager with experience in driving mid- to large-scale transformation efforts and other crucial technology and process initiatives.

The Program Manager will be instrumental in contributing to the value delivered by FactSet’s Technology Function to internal and external clients. Candidates should be technically knowledgeable and effective communicators, capable of working across technical and business teams to support the implementation of delivery and governance models. This role involves collaborating with FactSet development teams, functional leads, management, and third parties to assist in establishing effective teaming and program structures. Responsibilities include supporting portfolio activities, intake and demand management, investment benefit assessment, OKR tracking, and cross-team collaboration to support organization-wide goals. This role is vital for supporting the success of our strategic efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple, interconnected projects and programs to ensure mutual benefit and alignment with overall Technology and FactSet objectives.
  • Establish and lead stakeholder review cadence of key strategic initiatives to highlight progress, foster teaming, identify risks, issues, and concerns and drive resolution.
  • Work with teams on principles, tools, and best practices of program and project management.
  • Develop metrics to measure, monitor, and report progress of programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify areas for continual improvement in process and execution, with experience in process definition and mapping.
  • Monitor project resource demand and capacity, highlighting areas of concern.
  • Communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams to gain buy-in and delivery to project schedules
  • Support Technology division portfolio activities, including project management tool governance, demand management, and project management best practices; support operations related projects/initiatives.
  • Report to key stakeholders and team members on project status, progress, and risk including continually managing project expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in project and program management, with financial services and technology experience considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with network engineering, system infrastructure engineering, and hybrid cloud environments is preferred.
  • Strong background in hybrid (agile + waterfall) project methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical thinker and problem-solver with acute attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability, balanced with strong business judgment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, work with individuals at all levels, and effectively solve problems and overcome obstacles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Independent leader who can work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team, integrating knowledge and building internal networks for success.
  • Experience with planning, task management, collaboration, and reporting/analytics using Targetprocess and Jira PPM tools, along with proficiency in the MS Office Suite and data visualization tools.
