Job description

Red Star 3D are seeking a freelance UK-based MATTE PAINTER to work remotely on our production of a charming stop-motion style BBC Christmas Special for Magic Light Pictures.

YOU MUST BE BASED IN THE UK TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS POSITION.

This is a work-from-home position for artists already legally residing in the UK. We cannot provide visas and we cannot consider applicants who do not already live in the UK.

The job:

Create digital matte paintings based on concept sketches and reference from the Art Director.
Match the established stop-motion style of Magic Light films.

Must have:

Demonstrable skill and experience producing matte paintings to a suitable standard

Contract term: 3 March 2025 - 25 July 2025
