SAS Solution Architect

As a SAS Solution Architect, you will take on a leadership role in designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced SAS-based solutions to address complex business challenges. You will serve as the primary technical expert, bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation, while ensuring the solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational goals. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, provide strategic guidance, and oversee the delivery of data analytics, reporting, and predictive modeling projects.

Responsibilities

Solution Design

• Develop and architect end-to-end SAS solutions tailored to business challenges.
• Define data workflows and processes for integration, transformation, and analytics.
• Create scalable system designs that meet current and future business needs.

Implementation Oversight

• Oversee SAS platform installation, configuration, and optimization.
• Lead data integration and ETL process design using SAS tools.
• Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements.

Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and developers to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams on best practices for SAS implementation.
• Act as a liaison between the client and internal teams for SAS-related projects.

System Governance

• Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Establish governance frameworks for data access, auditing, and user roles.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, policies, and standards.

Innovation and Support

• Evaluate and implement the latest SAS technologies and trends.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and analytics innovation.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members on SAS tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Professional Experience

• 8+ years of experience with SAS platforms and solutions.
• Proven experience in architecting and deploying SAS solutions in a business environment.
• Extensive experience in ETL, data integration, and large-scale data pipelines.

Technical Skills

• SAS Expertise: Proficiency with SAS Viya, SAS Base, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Data Integration Studio, and SAS Enterprise Miner.
• Programming: Strong understanding of SQL and SAS programming; familiarity with Python or R is an advantage.
• Cloud and Infrastructure: Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with SAS.
• Data Management: Experience with data governance, security, and compliance.
