Job description

Dark Wolf Solutions are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cyber Security/DevOps Onboarding Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in the BMC3 Application Software Factory. This position involves working closely with technical teams, application vendors, and other ecosystem participants to securely field mission-critical applications on space vehicle platforms. The successful candidate will bring excellent communication, technical expertise, and a passion for building secure systems that enable rapid and scalable deployment of mission applications, supporting Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Acting as a technical liaison, articulating complex technical concepts to developers with varying levels of experience.
  • Aligning technical teams with BMC3 platform objectives by fostering clear and effective communication.
  • Onboarding space software applications to the BMC3 Application Software Factory.
  • Securing AWS Cloud and Kubernetes platforms, enabling development teams to deliver approved features with a focus on robust security measures.
  • Training and educating application vendors on Certificate to Field processes, best practices, and operational requirements.
  • Guiding vendors in securely deploying, operating, and maintaining their applications within the factory ecosystem.
  • Maintaining source control/documentation systems with fully automated containerized build processes for multiple environments.
  • Ensuring processes are optimized for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Establishing the capability to securely and rapidly field mission applications.
  • Contributing to the overall JADC2 mission through secure and scalable system design.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT Security, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience in cloud-based application security, particularly with AWS and Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with automated build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and security testing integrations
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences
  • High level of experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Compliance with IAT II Certification
  • US Citizen and an active Secret security clearance 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Expertise in integrating security scanners for continuous build processes and containers
  • Experience with security automation tools, including SAST (Static Application Security Testing) and DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing)
  • Experience automating testing processes within continuous integration (CI) environments
  • Proven understanding of compiled software build processes
  • Strong capabilities in system and service configuration management
  • Skill in release management, ensuring successful transitions from Development and Testing to Staging and Production environments
  • Collaborate with software developers, production teams, and information security personnel to automate and support cloud-based infrastructure and tooling
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to drive secure and efficient development lifecycle processes
This position will be a remote role based out of a Dark Wolf Hub: Herndon, VA, Colorado Springs, CO, Ogden, UT, and Omaha, NE. 
 
The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $130,000.00 - $160,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
