Job description

Job Title: Avaya VSP Architect with Shortest Path Bridging Expertise (Remote, Contract)
Job Type: 1099 or C2C basis
Location: Remote / Work from Home
Duration: 26 weeks (with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance)
Hours: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Job Summary: The Avaya VSP Architect will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing Avaya Virtual Services Platform (VSP) solutions to meet the organization's communication needs. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to gather requirements, develop architectural designs, and ensure the successful deployment and maintenance of Avaya VSP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Avaya VSP solutions, including Avaya Aura Communication Manager, Session Manager, and Avaya IP Office, to support enterprise communication requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand business needs and translate them into effective telecommunication architectures.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Avaya VSP equipment, servers, gateways, switches, and endpoints.
  • Monitor system performance and network traffic, identifying potential issues and implementing proactive measures to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Avaya VSP systems, including voice quality, connectivity, and integration problems.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving user-reported issues and conducting training sessions to enhance their understanding of Avaya VSP systems.
  • Implement security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, safeguarding the integrity and confidentiality of communication data.
  • Stay updated with Avaya product releases, patches, and firmware updates, evaluating their applicability, and planning and executing system upgrades accordingly.
  • Document system configurations, network diagrams, troubleshooting procedures, and user guides to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing Avaya telecommunication systems, with a focus on Avaya VSP solutions.
  • Proficiency in VoIP, SIP, and networking protocols.
  • Strong understanding of Avaya architecture and design principles.
  • Experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Avaya servers and gateways.
  • Relevant certifications such as Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist (ACIS) or Avaya Certified Solutions Architect (ACSA) are preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
