As a Senior Software Engineer you will…

• Design and implement Kubernetes cloud features in CDP that adheres to the security controls as needed for Government certifications 

• Solve complex technical problems associated with security controls for services deployed in Kubernetes on Cloud Environment

• Write code with the highest standards with a strong focus on privacy and security controls

• Be  hands-on with AWS and/or Azure PaaS, CaaS and other cloud infrastructure components

• Be working with K8s and technologies such as EKS, AKS, OpenShift, etc.in production

• Lead, design, build & maintain large scale high performing, secure Kubernetes and other application platform infrastructure on AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.

• Contribute to productivity, process and infrastructure improvement

• Collaborate with product managers and customers to understand requirements

• Work primarily in our US offices (Austin or Santa Clara). US Remote is an option 

• Author design documents

• Review design documents

We’re excited about you if you have:

• Strong Modern C++ or Java, Python or GO skills.

• 5+ years of experience writing software.

• Experience with distributed, multi-threaded, and multi-process systems

• Experience implementing file systems, database storage engines, database query engines is a strong plus

• Experience with public cloud infrastructure, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus

• Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux is a strong plus

• Experience with Jenkins, Maven, and Grandle is a strong plus

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology

• Experience with platform development in compliance with FedRamp requirements and related government standards, policies, regulations, etc. (Big Plus)

• A big plus will be any recent hands-on concentration of work with FedRAMP Framework (audit and compliance experience)

• Expertise in more than one of the following areas: Identity and Access Management (IAM), Network Security, Security Engineering, Incident Handling, Intrusion Detection, Firewalls, Vulnerability Management, Unix security, Encryption, and Endpoint Security, DevOps, Systems Administration

• Familiarity with operating SaaS services which adhere to compliance requirements like SOC2 and FedRAMP

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a Technical Field

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and collaborative mindset.

• US citizens physically residing in the US, as required by the US government
