Reporting into the Product Manager of Payment Accuracy Analytics, the Associate Product Manager of Payment Accuracy Analytics will lead a scrum team supporting an expanding product line that will connect partners and edit capabilities through our Payment Accuracy platform. This role will be part of a team that owns the analytics capabilities within Payment Accuracy solution enabled by the Availity platform, building a strong analytics foundation that aims to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our data and to enable data- and analytics-driven intelligence. These analytics capabilities will be critical to support product decisions and direction, and translate value to customers.

The Associate Product Manager will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients to gather, document, and refine user stories and product requirements, and inform the analytics product roadmap. They will actively manage the product development and quality assurance activities utilizing Agile/scrum methodologies. Additionally, this role will ensure that the solutions developed are scalable and meet the needs of various stakeholders across different channels.

Role Summary:

  • As an Availity Associate Product Manager, you will lead a team of analysts, developers, and designers through the product development and software development lifecycles, from ideation through launch, and beyond, to discover, deliver, and optimize new capabilities on the analytics roadmap. 

  • Partnering with the Analytics Product Manager, you will help inform a comprehensive product strategy, identifying market opportunities, defining an overall product or feature vision.

  • Partnering with design and technology, you are accountable for product design, feature definition, prioritization, road mapping and planning. 

  • Part of the Product Management team, you are the person ultimately responsible for successful delivery of the product. You will work with Availity stakeholders that include other product leaders, partners, vendors, and a broad network of customers to design a solution that meets market needs.

  • This role will ensure delivery of roadmaps, define go-to-market plans, lead planning activities, and remove roadblocks for the delivery teams. 

  • This position will influence and collaborate cross-functionally to execute on your product vision and roadmap  

  • Capabilities and solutions developed in this area may range from internal analytic building blocks, including reference data sets and aggregations, to advanced analytic solutions including predictive modeling that infuse insights into existing and new products. 

  • This position requires an understanding of the Product Management lifecycle and its relevant artifacts to ensure teams are collaborative and documenting for success. You must possess the ability to understand market opportunity and viability of product design and articulate ROI as an internal and external product champion and its strongest evangelist. 

To be qualified for this position you (have): 

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Product Management, including experience from ideation and discovery through launch. A Healthcare background is required to be considered for this role.

  • Must have 3+ years of experience working with data and data analytics, preferably with a focus on AI. Data analytics background is required to be considered for this role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, health informatics, data science, or relevant discipline.

  • Experience executing roadmaps as well as leading a team to meet deliverables. 

  • Experience managing customer expectations. 

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working across multiple levels, functions, and regions. 

  • Worked in and are comfortable operating in a matrix organization, coordinating across multiple disciplines.

  • Possess technical acumen the ability to gather and describe product requirements and get feedback from technical staff. 

  • Technical experience with data analysis, SQL, python or statistical languages and an understanding of data and analytics technical design and architecture.

  • General understanding of modern technology architectures, database technology, virtualization, and the impact of government initiatives and HIPAA privacy and security regulations on system design. 

  • Experience working in an Agile environment using tools such as Jira.

  • Proven experience with data analytics

  • Ability to proactively discover and recommend new product opportunities and capabilities

What you will be doing: 

  • Enabling the product roadmap and product strategy by delivering a commercially viable product, solution or component and ensuring all factors of a go-to-market strategy are enacted. 

  • Partnering with the Analytics Product Manager to define and prioritization of problems, requirements, solutions, and features, which includes working with internal stakeholders, health plans and providers to understand their workflows and define the problem to be solved, which may be internally focused. 

  • Partnering with the Analytics Product Manager to collaborate with the Product Organization and Account teams to understand the market opportunity and viability of product design. 

  • Engaging with UX/Design and focus groups (users, prospects, clients) to perform concept testing and solution refinement. 

  • Informing and influencing product vision, roadmaps and supporting business case for data- and analytics-driven solutions. 

  • Informing the definition of operational, performance, and value reporting metrics to ensure product success. 

  • Gathering, analyzing, and responding to user feedback.

  • Working cross-functionally in a matrix driven environment. 

  • Collaborating with technical teams including Data Engineers, Architects and Developers, and Analysts on solution design and roadmap execution. 

  • Ensuring products are well documented and conform to specifications, timelines, and quality standards. 

  • Evangelizing product, company point of view and differentiation to internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Accountable for the delivery of the product / solution in the market.
