System Specialist-This role is responsible for handling system testing and commissioning aspects of AV engineering post build and during installation. The System Specialist/Programmer will also be required to program small systems as well as provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments as well as establish goals and plans that meet project objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
- Review project Scope of Work to ensure quality and completeness of installation
- Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting when needed
- Test point to point functionality of systems
- Test and troubleshoot control programs (AMX/Crestron/Extron)
- Write code for DSP systems
- Load, test, and troubleshoot code for DSP systems
- Write code for small AV systems
- Make basic programming changes to larger AV systems.
- Fine-tune audio-video systems to ensure optimal performance
- Act as a customer liaison in absence of the Project Manager
- Responsible for final job documentation as needed
- Demonstrate job site leadership
- Ability to travel to various job sites
- Other duties as required.

Skills, Experience, Education
- Applicant should have a 2 or 4-year college degree in a technical field.
- Applicant must have 4 to 5 years of related experience.
- Applicant must have knowledge of AV fundamentals and ICIA best practices. CTS certification is preferred.
- Manufacturer Certifications are a plus
- Biamp, Polycom, QSC, Crestron, AMX, and Extron preferred
- Experience with installing or supporting AV equipment.
- Ability to diagnose complex system problems
- Proficient with test and calibration equipment
- General knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, firewalls
- Working knowledge of VTC, ATC, networking software, and hardware
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Video and Audio over IP Protocols
- Experience with Extron Global Configurator and Crestron programming software
- Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues
- Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities
- Ability to work and think independently and ensure to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Proven business writing skills
- Valid Driver’s License with minimum 3-year clean driving record

- 50% of travel (80% at client sites / 20% at office). The environment is a typical office, server rooms, and NOC centers. Work from home is at the discretion of the Programming Manager
