Job description

The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring is seeking motivated and engaging SAT or ACT tutors for remote tutoring assignments.

Company: TPAPT Chapter, Atherton, CA

Tests: SAT or/and ACT

Classification: Contract

Compensation: $150/hr-$200/hr commensurate

Location: Remote

What You’ll Do:

• Provide one-on-one academic support for High School and college students in subjects of your expertise.

• Tailor teaching approaches to each student’s learning style and personality.

• Build confidence and inspire intellectual curiosity in students.

• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with high-profile clients.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Multilingual capabilities.

• Background in working with neurodiverse learners.

Ability to be “on call” for students (additional pay included) between sessions.

Requirements

  • Strong past test scores
  • Demonstrable experience tutoring or teaching all sections of either the SAT or the ACT
  • 4-12 hours per week of availability
  • Earned Bachelor's Degree from a Top US College or University
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • A passion for helping others learn
  • Experience with test prep (SAT, ACT, AP, or similar).
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching (3+ years preferred).
  • Exceptionally knowledgeable in your subject area(s).
  • Reliable, professional, and passionate about education.
