Program/Project Manager – Vendor Platform Implementation

Location: Remote in Central or Eastern time zone with occastional travel to Providence, RI

1 year contract with the potential to covert to fulltime. Our client, a leader in delivering innovative healthcare solutions is looking for for a dynamic Program/Project Manager to own and drive a critical platform implementation for in the payments space.

Role Overview:
As the Project Manager/Owner, you will be the driving force behind a high-priority vendor platform implementation. This is not a passive project management role; we need someone who will own the timeline, independently execute on deliverables, and ensure the project's success. Supported by a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and technical experts, you will oversee software configuration, system integration, data flow management, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Ownership: Take full accountability for the implementation timeline, deliverables, and overall project success.
Timeline Management: Develop and drive detailed project schedules, ensuring milestones are met.
Collaboration: Work closely with SMEs, technical experts, vendors, and stakeholders to align on goals and resolve issues promptly.
Execution: Coordinate software configuration, system integrations, and data flow processes to ensure seamless implementation.
Problem-Solving: Anticipate and address roadblocks proactively, ensuring the project remains on track.
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates, status reporting, and stakeholder communication.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all components of the platform are thoroughly tested and meet business requirements before go-live.

Qualifications:

Experience: Proven track record of leading complex vendor platform implementations, preferably in technology or financial service
Skills:

Strong project management skills, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
Exceptional ability to independently drive and execute projects from inception to completion.
Familiarity with software configuration, system integration, and data flow management.
Tools: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project) and workflow management platforms.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred: PMP certification or similar credentials are a plus but not required.
