This is a remote position.


Work Schedule: 9am - 6pm Salt Lake City, UT Time with 1 hour unpaid lunch

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled  Email Marketing Specialist  with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing and optimizing email campaigns. You must be well-versed in  Klaviyo  and  Mailchimp , with a strong understanding of  email flows A/B testing segmentation , and  personalization . The ideal candidate will be a data-driven marketer who knows how to build and optimize successful email marketing strategies that enhance customer engagement and maximize revenue.

In this role, you will oversee and execute email campaigns, manage email workflows, and continuously optimize performance to ensure that we are reaching our customers with the right message at the right time.

Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Management:

    • Design, build, and deploy effective email campaigns using Klaviyo and Mailchimp, ensuring high-quality content, creative design, and accurate audience targeting.
    • Develop and manage automated email flows (welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase, re-engagement, etc.) that drive conversions and customer loyalty.
    • Segment email lists based on customer behavior, demographics, and lifecycle stage to ensure personalized and relevant messaging.
  • A/B Testing & Optimization:

    • Plan and execute A/B tests to optimize subject lines, email copy, design, and CTAs for maximum open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
    • Analyze test results and apply learnings to continually improve email campaign performance.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting:

    • Monitor key email performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, revenue per email) and provide actionable insights to improve future campaigns.
    • Use data and analytics to refine segmentation strategies, email content, and campaign scheduling.
    • Report on campaign performance and provide recommendations for improvement to the marketing team.
  • Strategy & Collaboration:

    • Collaborate closely with the creative and marketing teams to align email campaigns with broader marketing goals, seasonal promotions, and product launches.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive email marketing strategies that support customer acquisition, retention, and overall sales goals.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, email marketing best practices, and compliance guidelines (GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
  • Customer Engagement & Retention:

    • Design and implement customer retention strategies through targeted email campaigns.
    • Build customer loyalty and advocacy through email communications that deliver value, including personalized offers, updates, and content.


Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in email marketing, with a focus on Klaviyo and Mailchimp.
  • Proven track record of creating and optimizing high-performing email campaigns.
  • Experience building, managing, and optimizing automated email flows (welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of A/B testing, segmentation strategies, and personalization techniques.
  • Excellent copywriting skills with a deep understanding of what resonates with email subscribers.
  • Proficiency in email analytics and reporting (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices and legal requirements (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, including marketing, design, and product.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with e-commerce email marketing and customer retention strategies.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS to make basic email template edits and troubleshoot issues.
  • Knowledge of CRM integration and email list management.
  • Experience with dynamic content and personalization at scale.
