This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • Part-time, 20 hours per week (9 AM to 1 PM, Monday to Friday)

Job Description

As a Bookkeeper for this ambitious real estate venture, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the financial future of a business poised for significant growth. This position offers an exciting challenge to clean up and organize three years of financial records while simultaneously establishing robust bookkeeping processes for the future. Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the cleanup and organization of three years’ worth of backlogged financial records, turning chaos into clarity
  • Manage daily bookkeeping tasks with precision using QuickBooks Online, ensuring real-time financial accuracy
  • Perform regular account reconciliations, acting as the guardian of financial data integrity
  • Prepare comprehensive financial records in anticipation of potential audits, safeguarding the company’s compliance
  • Collaborate closely with the business owner to design and implement efficient bookkeeping processes, setting the financial foundation for the new brokerage
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support critical business decisions during the transition to an independent brokerage

Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in QuickBooks Online, with the ability to navigate and optimize its features
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for financial accuracy
  • Proven track record in cleaning up and organizing complex, backlogged financial records
  • In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping best practices and current financial regulations
  • Strong independent work ethic with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience in the real estate industry is a plus, but not required
  • Comfort with remote work and ability to maintain productivity in a virtual environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs as the company transitions and grows
