This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 9AM to 6PM Twin Lakes, CO
  • Includes 1 hour unpaid break

Job Description

We’re seeking a highly skilled and dedicated full-time Accountant, with CPA certification, to play a crucial role in our expanding real estate development firm. This position offers a unique opportunity to manage the financial operations of multiple entities within a rapidly growing company. You’ll be at the helm of financial strategy for diverse projects, from active construction sites to early-stage developments. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting a significant capital raise and guiding the company through its next phase of growth. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about contributing to the creation of high-end real estate developments in some of Colorado’s most beautiful locations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee comprehensive financial operations for a portfolio of 8 companies, including 3 specialized development LLCs
  • Utilize QuickBooks to maintain meticulous and up-to-date financial records across all business entities
  • Craft detailed financial statements and reports for various development projects, providing critical insights for decision-making
  • Lead financial planning and budgeting efforts for ongoing construction and future development phases
  • Play a key role in preparing financial documentation for an upcoming $60 million capital raise
  • Navigate complex tax matters for multiple LLCs, ensuring compliance and optimizing financial structures
  • Deliver regular, insightful financial updates to company leadership, supporting strategic decision-making
  • Ensure strict adherence to accounting standards and regulations in all financial practices
  • Provide financial guidance and expertise for both active construction projects and early-stage planning initiatives
Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience as an accountant preferably involving real estate 
  • Must be a CPA
  • Proven track record in accounting, with a focus on real estate or development sectors
  • Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant accounting software
  • In-depth knowledge of US tax laws and regulations, particularly as they apply to real estate and multi-entity structures
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a full-time remote setting
  • Strong history of reliability, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high standards of accuracy
  • Experience managing finances for complex business structures and multiple entities
  • Ability to adapt quickly to the fast-paced environment of a growing company
  • Proven ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with a diverse team
