Do you enjoy providing outstanding service and a personal touch to our customers? This Underwriting role in our Service Operations Center at Aviva gives you an opportunity to fulfill our brand promise "With you today for a better tomorrow." You will have a key role in improving broker happiness and establishing solid broker partner relationships.

What You'll Do
  • Deliver outstanding quality commitments and foster a "One Stop Shop" environment for our broker partners.

  • Continuously improve your soft-skills through identified e-learning courses and expand your product/industry knowledge through CIP/FCIP or other related industry accreditations.

  • Provide timely and informed service to our broker partners, consistently challenging the status quo to offer premier underwriting service.

  • Strongly influence the results of the Broker Survey by taking dedicated steps throughout the year to ensure a successful outcome.

  • Exhibit a high degree of integrity when representing both Broker and Aviva, and collaborate effectively with team members and the leadership team.

  • Commit to delivering outstanding broker experiences and maintaining consistent, fair communication with broker partners to support profitable growth and underwriting excellence.

What You’ll Bring

  • CIP designation or working towards CIP.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills coupled with confident decision-making and analytical skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment - a combination of in-office and remote working.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities – work closely with peers and refer files appropriately.

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage time effectively.

  • Critical thinking and the ability to drive business results.

  • A customer-centric approach to build trust and strengthen operational relationships.

  • Strong communication skills to impact and lead, and the ability to develop skills and knowledge in others.

  • A dedication to collaboration and excellence in execution, encouraging teamwork across various business units.

  • A clear vision, the ability to welcome and support challenges and change, and the skill to influence others and eliminate ambiguity.
