Job description

  • Join a residential construction company in Australia. 
  • Save your time and money with our full-time, work-from-home setup!
  • The ideal candidate's workstation should be set up in a safe and secure location at home with stable and reliable internet not less than 25 Mbps.
  • The candidate will be required to use their own equipment to perform the role.
  • PHP 90,000 - 130,000 per month.
  • 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, Manila Time, Monday to Friday.

About the Role

Reporting directly to an Australian Procurement Manager, you will ensure accurate and efficient project cost estimation and financial management by reviewing specifications, production plans, and documentation to understand project scope and requirements. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Review project specifications, production plans, and documentation to understand scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with designers, project coordinators, and relevant stakeholders to collect critical information for precise cost estimation.
  • Prepare purchase orders, factoring in material quantities, equipment.
  • Maintain and update cost databases regularly to ensure the use of current and accurate information.
  • Perform detailed material take-offs for both project-specific and stock requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks or uncertainties in project specifications, timelines, and execution.
  • Monitor and compare actual project costs against initial estimates, identifying discrepancies and analysing their root causes.
  • Ensure thorough documentation and global accessibility of all quotes, estimates, and project pricing for reference.

Experience & Software

  • 10 years+ experience as an estimator in the Australian construction industry, with a strong understanding of industry codes, standards, construction methods, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in productivity, estimating, and ERP software, including Databuild, MYOB
  • Advanced, and the Microsoft Office suite (with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel).
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimations.
  • Time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
